Tell me a story

 Instructions:

  1. Before the activity, prepare a list of story starters or prompts that will serve as the basis for the kids' storytelling. These prompts can be simple sentences or phrases that ignite their imagination and encourage creativity.

  2. Create a Kahoot! quiz using the story prompts as the multiple-choice questions. Each question should present a different story prompt, with four answer options.

  3. Set up a classroom environment where kids can access Kahoot! on their individual devices, such as tablets or computers. Explain the rules and instructions of the activity, emphasizing that they will have an opportunity to showcase their storytelling skills.

  4. Launch the Kahoot! quiz and display the story prompts on a screen or projector. Give the kids a set amount of time to select their preferred story prompt.

  5. Once the kids have selected their prompts, invite them to take turns sharing their stories orally. Each kid should use their chosen story prompt as a starting point and develop their own imaginative and creative story.

  6. Encourage the kids to use descriptive language, express emotions, and engage the audience with their storytelling skills. Remind them to include a clear beginning, middle, and end in their stories.

  7. As each kid shares their story, encourage the rest of the class to actively listen and provide positive feedback and encouragement.

  8. After all the kids have shared their stories, open a discussion about the different storytelling styles, themes, and imaginative elements present in their narratives. Encourage the kids to ask questions or offer their thoughts on each other's stories.

  9. To conclude the activity, express appreciation for the kids' participation and creativity. Consider giving certificates or small rewards to acknowledge their storytelling skills and effort.
